No hot water, or not enough
Hot water that runs out quickly, or never arrives, can point to a failed component, a sizing problem, or a unit at the end of its life.
Water Heater Services
Tank and tankless water heater service for homes throughout Palm Beach County and select areas of Broward County, from a licensed plumbing contractor that tells you plainly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.
A water heater usually gets attention only when something goes wrong: a cold shower, a puddle in the garage or utility closet, or a relief valve that won’t stop dripping. When you call Tier One, we start by finding the actual cause. Some problems are a valve, a connection, or a component. Others mean the tank itself is failing.
We service both tank and tankless water heaters. If replacement is the right call, we’ll explain the options that fit your home and how much hot water you use, then install the new unit carefully, with clean, properly supported piping and the right safety components.
Common Problems
Hot water that runs out quickly, or never arrives, can point to a failed component, a sizing problem, or a unit at the end of its life.
Leaks from fittings and valves can often be repaired. A leak from the tank itself cannot, so it’s worth having it looked at before it gets worse.
The temperature and pressure relief valve is a safety device. If it’s discharging, it’s telling you something about temperature or pressure. Never cap or plug it.
Discolored hot water or a rotten-egg odor can come from the tank’s interior, the anode, or the water supply itself.
Noise from a tank heater is often sediment collecting at the bottom, which reduces efficiency and can shorten the heater’s life.
Fluctuating temperatures or error codes on a tankless unit can be caused by scale, venting, gas or water supply issues, or a failing part.
What We Handle

Our Approach
We check the unit, its connections and its safety devices before recommending anything.
If it’s repairable, we say so. If it isn’t, we explain why and what a replacement involves.
Tank or tankless, we size the replacement to your household and your existing setup.
Neat, supported piping, correct safety components, and a clean work area when we leave.

FAQ
It depends on what failed and the condition of the unit. A bad valve or connection is often worth repairing. A leaking tank cannot be repaired, and an older heater that needs a major part may not be worth the money. We’ll show you what we find and give you an honest recommendation.
Tankless units heat water on demand, take up less space, and don’t run out of hot water the way a tank can. They also cost more up front and can require changes to gas, venting, or electrical service. For some homes they’re a great fit; for others, a quality tank heater is the better value. We’ll walk you through the tradeoffs for your house.
The relief valve is doing its job by releasing excess temperature or pressure, but the cause needs to be found. Don’t cap, plug, or remove it. Call us and we’ll diagnose why it’s discharging.
Yes. Mineral scale can build up inside a tankless heater’s heat exchanger over time, which affects performance. Ask us about your unit when you call.
